Airgas is Hiring for a Customer Service Coordinator in Billerica, MA!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with local Branch, Customer Service, Sales, and Plant personnel daily to assist in promoting timely delivery and communicating delays to customers directly.

    • Identifies urgent orders and reports them back to necessary departments for correction.

    • Reviews and coordinates rescheduling of deliveries with necessary departments by monitoring Undelivered Report and updating sales order notes before dropping the delivery for reschedule and notifying the Distribution team.

    • Communicates delays and updates to Customer Service and/or Account Managers to expedite customer notification as needed.

  • Complete a daily review of the previous days' missed deliveries and update SAP shipment and order notes accordingly.

  • Completes billing timely and accurately with close attention to customer cylinder balances and managing serialized cylinder accuracy.

    • Demonstrates full knowledge of all order-entry, data research, and order completion in SAP that is necessary to service customers.

    • Interacts with customers, Branch, Plant, and other departments as needed to research, uncover and correct errors in posted delivery tickets that may impact Airgas inventory, the customer's order, the delivery schedule, etc.

    • Identify root causes for billing discrepancies, create long-term solutions by coordinating and leading across work groups, and then communicate learnings and best practices.

  • Reviews and manages Recurring Orders/Automatic Scheduled Deliveries (ASI's) for quantity and frequency.

    • Reviews trends and customer requirements with Account Managers to enhance customer experience and maximizes delivery efficiency.

  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years in customer service and/or inside sales related roles required.

  • Excellent customer service & communication skills. Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking mannerfor the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees and strong customer service skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Math skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

  • Ability to work well both as a team and independently.

  • Ability to set priorities and manage time in a dynamic work environment.

  • Detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional post high school education and/or training preferred

  • Prior experience with SAP preferred.
