What to Expect

This is a high-agency, hands-on role where you will own the architecture and realization of multiple complex electronic systems or serve as the vehicle-level Integration Lead. The role spans systems including autopilot compute, cameras, IMU, infotainment, connectivity, sensing and vehicle communications. You will serve as technical anchor for these systems, driving cross-functional decision-making that bridges the gap between hardware and software. The role demands high-level judgment to translate complex system interactions into clear, safety-first requirements. You will drive component designs from concept through implementation, defining validation strategies, and conducting system testing. Beyond the desk, you will implement prototypes, system bringup on bucks, lead deep-dive debugs, and support factory bringups to create world's most efficient and vertically integrated autonomous vehicles.

What You'll Do
  • Apply systems engineering principles to architect complex interactions across multiple domains and systems, resolve ambiguity, and distil high-level objectives into quantifiable constraints for hardware and software teams
  • Develop code to solve complex integration problems, develop prototypes, automate workflows, and bridge gaps between subsystems
  • Lead technical alignment and resolve trade-off conflicts among engineers specializing in electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing domains
  • Define and execute vehicle-level test plans, utilizing data analysis to validate software features and hardware interactions and triage issues
  • Actively develop AI-enabled workflows to accelerate decision-making, requirement setting, and feedback analysis
  • Be responsible for the overall functional and performance maturity of multiple systems and their features from early prototyping to full deployment
  • Lead the triage and debugging of complex hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment
  • Exercise critical thinking and leadership to manage program priorities, support multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate technical risks to cross-functional stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent experience with a focus on embedded systems
  • Fluency in developing code to solve engineering problems (Python, C++, or similar). You must be comfortable building your own tools and simulations
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for engineering tasks, including requirement generation, code assistance, and data synthesis
  • Strong "systems thinking" approach with the ability to understand n-th order impacts of software and process changes on the wider vehicle architecture
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. You must be able to lead through influence and judgment
  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration, debugging complex subsystems, or software-defined hardware environments
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, etc.) to drive engineering decisions
  • Understanding hardware and software development lifecycle, including Functional Safety (HARA, FSC, TSC, System FMEA, FMEDA) and validation processes
  • Strong knowledge of three or more topics among embedded systems, such as microcontroller architecture, interfaces e.g. SPI, I2C, vehicle communication networks (CAN, Ethernet), power converters, high performance compute architectures and interfaces, e.g. DDR, PCIe, FPD and electromechanical systems is required; the ability to expand into other topics and integrate these systems is paramount
