(Seasonal) Winter Lights Parking Attendants

We are currently seeking Winter Lights Parking Attendants to assist during our largest fundraiser, Winter Lights. Winter Lights is a seasonal lighting display that transforms our gardens into a dazzling nighttime display. As part of our seasonal team, you'll help bring this wonder to life, ensuring that our guests enjoy a bright, memorable evening surrounded by beauty. If you're looking to spread holiday cheer and be part of something special, we'd love to have you on board!

This year's event will run from November 15th through January 4th each evening. Paid training will be available prior to the show's commencement. You will be paid between $16 and $18 an hour (rate dependent upon experience). Proceeds from Winter Lights helps to create local jobs, provide nature-based education and maintain our gardens. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Preference will be given to those who apply by October 17th.

Still not sure? Join us at The North Carolina Arboretum (100 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Asheville, NC 28806) for a job fair on Wednesday, October 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and learn more about us and our seasonal openings.

Your role will be to assist the Public Safety department and manage the traffic and parking operations. This could occur by evaluating parking to ensure optimal utilization of the area, maintaining the safety of all guests and/or managing parking and traffic control.

Most shifts will run between 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Because the Arboretum believes in health work/life integration, the goal is for employees to know their schedule for the entire show length as it opens.
