We are looking for a motivated Construction Management Intern to join our team in Anchorage, AK. You will work under the direct supervision of professional engineers and construction managers, contributing to real-world projects that have a meaningful impact on our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and construction management practices in the field and in office settings supporting the construction administration roles.
  • Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Construction Manager or Engineer to support project proposal efforts, including procurement and project controls, interpreting construction drawings, and reviewing construction submittals.
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional's programs
  • Spend time on construction sites for inspection duties, monitoring contractor activity, completing Daily Work Reports, and facilitating submittal reviews.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of at least two years in Construction Management or Civil Engineering programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations in Alaska and work long hours for extended periods of time.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
