What to Expect
Tesla is seeking an Associate Demand Planner to design and manage the geographic distribution of vehicles, determining optimal destinations for each car after production. This role is essential for effectively balancing vehicle supply with customer demand, directly contributing to the company's operational success.
What You'll Do
- Ensure accurate execution of the vehicle allocation plan within internal systems
- Collaborate with logistics teams to handle ad-hoc routing requests efficiently
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor plan adherence and system performance
- Partner with stakeholders to optimize the vehicle routing process and drive continuous improvements
- Manage customer escalations, including prioritizing sequences, identifying errors, and generating reports on customer ordering
- Run scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of sequencing changes on overall plans and customer wait times
- Work with sales and delivery teams to assess customer backlog quality and implement strategies for maintaining a reliable backlog signal
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in operations planning, business planning, logistics, inventory planning, demand planning, or outbound supply chain
- Proficiency in SQL required; experience with Python or other programming languages preferred
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to independently own and manage operational processes
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build support for initiatives organically
- Excellent judgment in anticipating complex, chain-reaction impacts of planning decisions
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to tasks
- Comfortable embracing change and thriving in a fast-paced environment

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $129,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
