What to Expect
The Engineering Technician's responsibilities include verifying plastics production processing to ensure production parts are meetings Tesla quality specification and boundary samples. Engineering tech is responsible to ensure production associate is following standardized work, use of proper PPE, use of proper tools and jigs, as well as coordination of containment when non-conformance products are found.
What You'll Do
- Quality and Process Audit of Plastics parts & Plastic Paint parts
- Analyzing Plastics defects and root cause analysis
- MRB / defective material inspection and disposition
- Issue process deviation based on feedback from Engineering and Production
- Closely work with Production / Process engineering and technicians to ensure zero flow out*
- Monitor/track trials and provide detailed feedback on status and results
- Report out finding on daily Engineering Pass-down (well-written reports and verbally) and execute technician tasks independently after initial instruction
What You'll Bring
- 3 years experience in plastics manufacturing role preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering and reliability fundamentals
- Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of hand tools
- Experience with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and ability to change direction quickly
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
