Job Title: Principal Quality Consultant - Ambulatory Clinics Location: One Ford Place - Detroit, MI Department: Office of Clinical Quality and Safety Reports To: VP/Director/Manager, Office of Clinical Quality and Safety Position Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Quality Consultant to join our Office of Clinical Quality and Safety. In this role, you will lead enterprise-wide policy management for Ambulatory Clinics and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical safety. This is a highly visible role where creativity, collaboration, and analytical expertise directly impact the quality of care across our health system. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain policies for enterprise-wide Ambulatory Clinics, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals. Facilitate multiple process improvement initiatives using established methodologies, engaging multidisciplinary teams including administrators, medical personnel, and leadership. Conduct assessments and analyses in areas of professional expertise such as Accreditation, Quality, Risk, Infection Control, Safety, and Policy Management. Provide education, coaching, and mentoring to Quality staff and other stakeholders on continuous improvement tools and methodologies. Prepare detailed reports, recommendations, and presentations for leadership; coordinate implementation of approved initiatives. Serve as a consultant to internal departments, offering expertise to optimize clinical and operational processes. Monitor trends and emerging best practices in clinical quality and safety, sharing insights and driving innovation across the institution. Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation by applying new methodologies and spreading successful strategies throughout the organization.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required.
- Master's degree in health care field preferred.
- RN preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years hospital experience required; clinical/operational experience preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years in a technical role in a healthcare or related field preferred for certain core functions. QI/PI lead or facilitator: 3 - 5 years; Broad
- Business unit and System level, multidisciplinary experience.
- Evidence of ongoing continuing education in professional/technical area of expertise. (i.e., Accreditation/Quality/Risk/Infection Control; Safety; Policy Management).
- Possesses strong analytical skills/problem solving techniques for conceptualizing, interpreting, developing, and implementing effective systems and processes.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
