*Description*
We are in need of construction inspectors who possess knowledge of underground cable placement, primarily by Horizontal Directional Drills, as well as other common excavation methods. This role is critical to the success of our underground fiber deployment projects. Inspectors will be responsible for monitoring construction activities, documenting progress, and ensuring that contractors adhere to project specifications and safety standards. Serve as the on-site representative for customer during underground fiber construction. Inspect and document installation of underground cable, primarily via Horizontal Directional Drilling and other excavation methods such as trenching and plowing. Ensure construction crews follow engineering plans, safety protocols, and customer specifications. Maintain detailed daily logs, including photos, measurements, and crew activities. Communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and utility representatives. Identify and report any deviations from plans or potential issues that could impact project timelines or quality. Verify proper restoration of work sites following construction. Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and traveling to rural job sites. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
