GENERAL FUNCTION

This role manages the end-to-end process of optometric equipment upgrades and installations across the organization. Responsible for meeting production goals, service level performance, and standards of quality for all projects. Participates in volume forecasting and supports departmental production schedules. Encourages an environment of continious improvement and contributes to cultivating a culture of learning. Provides leadership, coaching, and development to a team of Equipment Specialists.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Partners with project teams across the organization to collate demands into realistic schedules
  • Develops appropriate timelines for all projects and provides regular status updates to project stakeholders
  • Maintains schedules by actively monitoring projects, identifying risks quickly, and works to minimize business impact through sound decision making and cooperation
  • Demonstrates and encourages continuous improvement by incorporating feedback and iterative processes into their workflows
  • Maintains and builds documentation to support Eyecare initiatives, installation best practices, and knowledge base materials
  • Ensures compliance with all corporate guidelines pertaining to the collection and distribution of optometric equipment, accessories, and supporting technology
  • Participates in regular forecasting sessions to identify neccessary inventory levels needed to support initiatives and service demands
  • Ensures consistent, clear, and appropriate communication with internal and external partners regarding business objectives, progress, and performance
  • Actively manages the coaching and development of direct reports
  • Conducts recurring reviews of SLA performance with support teams, vendors, and service partners to monitor and drive performance, advises leadership of trends and concerns



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or equivilent experience
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • 3+ years of technical implementation experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects/tasks



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Optometric equipment experience
  • 3+ years of computer networking experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
