Nestle R&D Center, Inc. seeks Sr Specialist Tech Product Dev (Multi-roles) in Solon, Ohio Duties: Lead product development for Innovation and Renovation projects to deliver innovative and competitive products and processes, on time, with agreed quality to the business. Serve as technical lead on project teams to deliver innovation and renovation portfolio, optimization and improvement projects and creation of scientific knowledge, inclusive of generation of intellectual property. Represent R&D as subject matter expert for product and process to transfer knowledge to the Technical Application Groups & factories. Network with specialists of the same area and within the company globally. Partner and work collaboratively to deliver important science and technology to support project progress. Implement the Innovation & Renovation strategy for the supported product categories in the Market(s). Implement and execute product and process development activities to achieve project goals and deadlines to delight the consumer. Continuously improve and optimize current products and processes within factories according to local business needs and supply situation and implementation of initiatives. Develop, approve, maintain, and sustain the product and process standards and specifications. Ensure adherence to all products, processes, materials standards. Comply with external standards and local regulatory framework. Develop and assist in the development of the product and process standards within the company systems. Continuously improve technical skills and personal development, while expanding internal and external networks. Develop expertise for product and process mastership within R&D. Develop the competencies and knowledge transfer required for product and process mastership to enable manufacturing excellence. Up to 2 days of telework permitted per week. Salary: $129168 - $139168 per year Requirements: Job requires a Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a closely related field plus 5 years experience in the job offered or in the food industry in a product development or research and development role. Required experience must include all of the following: 5 years in formulation, processing, and trouble-shooting animal and plant-based proteins in refrigerated and frozen food products; 5 years evaluating new technologies that impact new product and improving products or processes; 5 years in product development, recipe formulation, engineering and processing, and quality by design; 5 years in analytical testing, statistics, and sensory testing within the process of developing of new products; 5 years operating laboratory, benchtop, and manufacturing processing equipment including texture analyzers, pH meters, mixing and forming equipment, extruders, and ovens; 5 years working with HACCP and US regulatory food laws; 4 years in food product development and assessing food technology and ingredients; Up to 2 days of telework permitted per week.
