GSK is currently looking for a Logistics Associate to join our team in Upper Merrion, PA. In this role, you'll perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies within a cGMP warehouse. Must be able to work day shift hours (2:00pm-10:30pm)

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

General

  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move stock or organize materials

  • Operates box truck to move stock between buildings

  • Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks

  • Models behaviors aligned with GSK's values and expectations.

Shipping and Receiving

  • Performs receipt and quarantine of incoming cGMP raw materials in SAP per cGMP and safety requirements

  • Stages raw materials for sampling and inspection following appropriate material specifications and input into sample tracking system o Assists with the shipping of bulk drug product per cGMP procedures to ensure quality, integrity and on time delivery

  • Performs receipt and delivery of parcels to all site personnel

  • Follows DOT requirements for transport of materials

Inventory Control

  • Ensures inventory levels remain accurate in SAP and perform periodic inventory checks

  • Delivers materials to production in timely manner and with good quality practices

  • Performs bulk drug freeze down transfer procedures including use of controlled rate freezing equipment

  • Participates in cycle counts of all warehouse managed materials

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Warehouse and material handling experience

  • Forklift experience

  • Basic computer literacy; Excel, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • SAP experience

  • Pharmaceutical industry (cGMP) experience.

  • Material handling forklift training (will be provided on the job if candidate does not already possess)

  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting up to 50lbs

  • Position may require employees to work shifts, holidays, weekends, and over-time

  • Good reading, writing and communication skills.
