Position Title: TOOL ENGINEER Position Summary: This position has several areas of technical responsibility which include tooling, applications, and programming support for manufacturing. This position requires working closely with machining and fabrication team leaders, programming, engineering, quality and production control functions to ensure "customer" quality requirements are met as well as, supporting shipping requirements and cost estimates. Reports to: Programming and Tooling Team Leader Personnel: Not applicable. Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting 6S and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Accountable for ensuring quality requirements and cost estimates are met in regards to tooling and applications. Authorities: Not applicable. Duties:
Job Qualification Requirements: Educational Experience -High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred. Experience - Intermediate computer skills including experience with AutoCad. A minimum of ten years in manufacturing with experience in CNC programming preferred. Certification Required - None Visual Acuity - Near acuity and accommodation as required for reading computer screens, documents, machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery.
