The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Clinical Applications Analyst - Electronic Health Records (EHR) to join our team! This position will support all Texas Oncology locations.

What is the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?

Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): is an incentive program that typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on your position, performance, and potential for future career growth at Texas Oncology. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. What does the Clinical Applications Specialist do?

Under direct supervision, supports, maintains, and resolves problems with the company's clinical applications.

Masters the company's suite of information technologies to enhance processes, and communications and develops close relationships with users to ensure consistent customer service. Applies information technologies in the timely design, implementation, and installation of high-quality solutions for the company.

Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Work remotely and onsite to support the clinical applications for a fast-paced Outpatient clinic environment.
  • Use a ticketing system to document all work performed.
  • Supports, maintains, troubleshoots, and resolves problems relating to Texas Oncology's clinical applications and workflow.
  • Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients and teammates.
  • Ensures that Texas Oncology is effectively and efficiently supported in their use of technologies by providing creative problem solving and/or referring to other appropriate company resources.
  • Maintains a high level of understanding of the use of information technologies in healthcare in relation to administration of electronic medical records.
  • Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems.
  • Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Clinical Profession, or related discipline

Or

  • Associates degree + Four (4) years of related work experience

Or

  • High School diploma or equivalent + Eight (8) years of related work experience
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience implementing or supporting systems.
  • Outpatient Clinic workflows knowledge preferred.
  • iKnowMed Generation 2 knowledge or experience highly preferred
  • Adult education/training experience preferred
