 We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) to join our healthcare team. The PSR I represents the face of the organization to patients, ensuring a professional and positive experience during specimen collection. This position is responsible for performing high-quality blood draws, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and procedural standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a compassionate approach while supporting the organization's commitment to process excellence and patient care.
 Job Responsibilities 
 
 
 
 Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor 
 Draw high-quality blood samples from patients-including pediatric and geriatric populations-while ensuring patient comfort and safety 
 Verify patient identification and ensure proper labeling of all specimens in the patient's presence 
 Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements 
 Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times 
 Deliver excellent customer service, building trust and confidence with patients through clear communication and professionalism 
 Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and accuracy in all work performed 
 Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards consistently 
 Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet operational and quality goals 
 Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, colleagues, and the general public 
 
 Job Requirements 
 
 
 
 Ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment 
 Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients 
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
 Reliable, punctual, and flexible to support scheduling needs (including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required) 
 Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively 
 Proficient in data entry and computer systems 
 Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite (public transit, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable) 
 
 Education 
 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalent required 
 Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred 
 Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington) 
 
 Work Experience 
 
 
 
 Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1 or more years preferred 
 Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred 
 Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry required 
 
 Additional Job Details 
 
 
 
 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM; rotational Saturdays, 6:30 AM-10:30 AM 
 Work hours: 35-40 hours per week; overtime as needed 
 On-site position; remote work is not available 
 COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this role 
 Must reside within a 20-25 minute commute of the assigned work location 
 Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination 
 Rate of pay is based on verified years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles will not be double-counted)
