Job Summary The Functional Workday Support Analyst serves as a key resource for ensuring the stability, efficiency, and optimization of the Workday system. This role provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting to resolve configuration issues, system errors, and data discrepancies. The specialist partners with Tier 1 support teams, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to address escalations, support system enhancements, and drive cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities include analyzing and diagnosing system problems, assisting with integrations to ensure seamless data flow, and maintaining system documentation such as user guides, knowledge articles, and training materials. The role also supports user adoption through onboarding, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing. Additionally, this position participates in testing and validation of new system configurations and updates, while staying current on Workday releases and industry best practices to recommend improvements and ensure system excellence.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.   • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for HRIS (Workday) issues, including configuration errors, data discrepancies, and system functionality concerns.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 support teams, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to resolve escalated cases, implement enhancements, and deliver cross-functional system solutions.
  • Analyze system performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity, system stability, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with integration teams to manage and support data interfaces between Workday and other business systems, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow.
  • Contribute to system testing, validation, and quality assurance for new configurations, releases, and upgrades to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of HRIS documentation, such as process guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials
  • Assist in the conduction of end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support to enhance user adoption and optimize system utilization.
  • Support HR projects, system enhancements, and reporting/analytics initiatives by providing subject matter expertise and actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, audit requirements, and company policies in all HRIS processes and activities.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, human resources or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in providing technical support for enterprise systems, preferably Workday, as well as system testing, validation, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in configuring Workday system settings, security roles and reports.
  • Workday certification(s) such as Workday HCM as well as experience with other enterprise systems or cloud-based applications are a plus.
  • Understanding of HR and finance business processes is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
