    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS N/ASUMMARY: Works under the direction of the engineering manager to assist the mill in developing and implementing project and process improvements. The engineering intern will interact with the mill maintenance team, project engineer and process engineer to complete tasks.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
       SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A
 Cross-reference in-process equipment with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support troubleshooting and system analysis.Collaborate with the Maintenance team to update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate spare part listings align with P&ID documentation.Work with mill operators as necessary to identify process components to support system mapping and documentation efforts.Partner with Operations to analyze process data, develop recommendations, and help coordinate implementation of process improvements.Review operational trends to identify process deficiencies and continuously update process targets to reflect new parameters and revised upper and lower control limits.Assist in tracking Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) changes across the mill and support documentation efforts for BOD- related meetings and reports.Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access to or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.
 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 Working toward a Bachelor in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Paper Science EngineeringFamiliarity with statistical analysisProficient in Microsoft Office suite and AdobeAble to detail basic P&IDsGood communication both verbal and writtenAble to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple assignments at a timeAble to work effectively both individually and within groups

 This job operates in a professional office environment and an industrial environment.Able to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment. Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces and with heights.Willingness and ability to wear safety glasses, earplugs, hard hat, steel toes boots and any other required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
