Position Description

Directs the financial planning and analysis activities for the organization. Partners with the business to provide advisory services in regards to financial planning. Leads the financial planning and analysis activities related to long-range, strategic planning for the Company.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Establishes and manages Financial Planning & Analysis for the organization
  2. Develops and drives an effective and efficient planning process to guide the business units in the formulation, review and communication of operating plans and projections; coordinates the global budget/forecast and performs analysis to determine the validity and accuracy of the forecasts submitted by each business unit; coordinates the preparation of the consolidated financial plans and annual budget review meetings.
  3. Leads the preparation and updates of the Corporation's long-range strategic financial plan.
  4. Understands and internally promotes the relationship of accurate financial planning to our overall financial and Economic Value Added (EVA) results.
  5. Develops reporting and analysis that supports strategic recommendations which enhance the sales and profitability of each of our businesses.
  6. Analyzes the impact of pricing, volume, mix and foreign currency on sales and gross margins.
  7. Develops timely tools and metrics to enable management to make informed business decisions and take action. Analyzes actual to budget trends in financial statements and key company drivers and trends on a monthly basis, including the isolation of factors contributing to negative and positive trends, in order to revise forecast processes and improve forecast accuracy.
  8. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities for a small team of professionals which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in supporting and consulting with all groups/business units
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all groups/business units on setting expectations and monitoring progress; must be able to communicate effectively with subordinates, peers and superiors within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills, decision making and organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with a diverse group of people
  • Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum ten years of relevant experience
  • Prior leadership and management experience in a large, complex organization preferred
