Manages the annual assessment of internal controls over financial reporting required under Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, including: annual risk based scoping of business processes; oversight of internal controls and business processes in place at FedEx OpCos, including annual training to employees; oversight of audit and control testing methodology for information technology general controls; consultation with external public auditors throughout the annual SOX 404 audit. Also responsible for management of additional compliance, financial reporting and accounting projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting or finance related field.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in audit or closely related area.

  • Strong background in audit theory, methodology and testing.

  • Public accounting experience in this area is preferred.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Extensive project management skills.

  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing IT SOX compliance strategies.

  • Coordinating risk assessments of IT systems and processes.

  • Assisting with the design, implementation, and testing IT risk and control framework(s) that correlate to industry regulations and standards.

  • Integrate with external auditors and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.

  • Work experience in information technology or governance risk and compliance environment.

  • Manager experience preferred

  • CISA Certification

The desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN.
