Job Description

Context

Coordinates and manages operational annual plan. Is responsible for integration of deliverables within scope of own group, leading multiple activities which are specific as to objective and content;

The work activities managed require at least academic, master working and thinking level.

The activities require cooperation with adjacent functional/operational disciplines for which thorough understanding of interfaces with other disciplines/parties is needed.

Evaluates organizational design for own functional discipline and initiates and implements organizational improvements.

Requirements

Substantial general work experience and comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competence level. Limited experience with planning, managing and organizing resources within short to medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

Responsibilities

Strategy Implementation

Contributes to the strategy and business plan for the department and translates into annual operational plan for own group. Contributes to the success of the department by taking ownership beyond the scope of own group.

Business Optimization & Organizational Development

Indicates, analyses and advises on optimization opportunities. Delivers a significant and expert contribution to the development of longer-term business-plans and decision-making processes concerning critical objectives and (key) processes for the appointed department.

Secures continuous improvement as well as an effective, (cost) efficient, aligned and reliable technology department.

Evaluates work processes and organizational design for own functional discipline and initiates and implements organizational improvements.

Decision making

Takes decisions of a tactical nature. Operates within a tactical business environment with a planning horizon of up to one year.

Operates within clear business directions, relevant design principles, determined targets and budgets and risk & compliance directives.

Leadership and output realization

Creates leadership, secures the achievement of relevant KPI's and is responsible for: an on-time, correct and complete realization of all determined department objectives; operational HR management, a highly qualified workforce and performance management;

an optimal organization structure for the department; the implementation of (change) (project) results.

Establishes the mid term capacity needs and make timely resourcing and feasibility decisions to meet future projections.

Manages CAPEX and OPEX according to budget and monitor financial performance versus plans and budgets.

Stakeholder management

Creates a relevant network of stakeholders on a tactical level of in- and external counterparts. Organizes an adequate feedback loop on achieved results and secures reliable business insights. Explains and convinces internal and external parties beyond content driven arguments and appeals to interest, culture and level of others.

Stakeholders are mainly at department head level and external stakeholders.

Knowledge and information management

Keeps up with internal and external developments and ensures development, transfer and retention of knowledge and information, initiates new ways of working to optimize processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
