Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time administrative associate to provide general office coverage and event support for the student affairs division. This position works Mon. – Thur., 2: 30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Fri., 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and may periodically be required to work evenings and weekends, including the annual commencement.

Essential Duties

- Provides general office operations and customer service support in the student affairs division and at the welcome desk, including handling incoming telephone calls, greeting walk-in visitors and directing students to appropriate campus locations
- Provides support/assistance tot he various departments within student affairs, including mailings, preparation for and execution of events and event materials, basic data entry, targeted phone calls and general clerical assistance as needed
- Coordinates with the dean's associate, enrollment management to ensure that planned and unplanned coverage needs are met
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
-
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Two years of office/receptionist experience
- Strong computer, organizational, human relations, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and attention to detail skills
- Demonstrated ability to work on sensitive, confidential and complicated issues with discretion
- Ability to be creative and dynamic
- Ability to work independently and under general supervision to provide courteous and accurate customer service to all students, visitors and campus community both in-person and virtually
- Preference will be given to candidates with switchboard experience and bilingual English/Creole skills

This is a part-time temporary position that does not include benefits. The days and hours of work are Mon. - Thur., 2: 30 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. and Fri., 12: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. This position may be required to periodically work evenings and weekends, including the annual commencement. The starting hourly rate for this position will likely range from $18.82 to $23.10 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
