DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, your role will involve a diverse range of skilled trade responsibilities, including the planning, estimating, and procurement of materials necessary for the construction and finishing of various buildings, drainage systems, and accessory structures. You will be tasked with creating rough sketches, calculating the quantities of construction materials required, and selecting the appropriate tools and equipment for each project. Your hands-on duties will encompass measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber for different construction tasks, as well as pouring and finishing concrete. Additionally, you will construct essential features such as railings, stairs, partitions, ramps, and shelves. The position requires proficiency in using a variety of tools, both motorized and manual, including shovels, rakes, hammers, chainsaws, compressors, jackhammers, tampers, and lawn maintenance equipment. Furthermore, you will also assist with winter maintenance activities as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
