Business Profile: Wyman-Gordon: Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.

Job Description

Position Summary: Position is responsible for all commercial elements of the manufacturing site. This individual will manage all aspects of sales and customer satisfaction, including site profitably at the top line (net margin before manufacturing variances) as it relates to the sale of forgings to commercial and military accounts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages a contract administration team responsible for all inside sales functions for the site.
  • Responsible for implementing sales strategies that maximize profit margin, delivery integrity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgetary sales and margin forecasts for the site and establish internal goals that ensure compliance with all budgetary obligations.
  • Responsible for managing all administrative/inside sales functions related to customer satisfaction from order entry to delivery of finished product.
  • Manages and develops relationships with customer base which ultimately support the needs of the operation.
  • Expected to be very knowledgeable of the market, customer base, competitors, and products - must be able to identify and leverage elements of the site's business to maximize profits and ensure compliance with budgetary obligations.
  • Responsible for managing all long-term contracts for the site which includes the following: negotiation, ensuring compliance with, identifying opportunities for growth, tracking market shares against contractual terms, etc.
  • Plan, direct, and execute sales programs to promote new markets
  • Must be able to develop and analyze internal sales statistics to formulate policy, advise executive management of important trends, monitor customer compliance with contractual obligations, and identify opportunities to maximize sales/margin revenue.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Wyman Gordon operations.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interface with professional staff and WG management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willing to travel 30% of the time.

Experience & Education:

  • Four-year college degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Senior level Sales, customer service, contract administration or purchasing agent experience.
  • 7-10 years of related Aerospace sales experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering, forging and/or machining.

For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $160000 to $200000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company's performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
