Overview
Come Find Your Spark at Quartz! The Software & Product Engineering Team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. This position will identify and design most efficient computer programs and cost-effective solutions through research and evaluation of alternatives. This role will analyze information system problems and develop solutions and provide support and assistance to the team and business units. The Software Engineer will build and modernize enterprise applications with a secure, scalable, and cloud-first approach. Skills this position will use on a regular basis:

Responsibilities
- Business Collaboration & System Design
- Works closely with business partners and Digital Technology Teams to align development efforts with business needs, ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable solutions.
- Leads the preparation of detailed project feasibility studies, including system scope, project cost, time estimates, and human resource requirements. Ensure the designs align with both business goals and technical specifications.
- Creates comprehensive technical programming specifications for development, ensuring the system design is well-defined and implementable. Perform application analysis, design, coding, and other complex programming tasks based on general requirements.
- Implements seamless integration across on-premises, third-party, and cloud-based applications, ensuring that systems are interconnected and meet security and governance standards.
- Agile Software Development & Secure SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Delivers high quality software in an agile, secure, and efficient manner, ensuring the system is resilient and compliant with industry best practices.
- Actively participates in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies to deliver software incrementally, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. Collaborate closely with product owners, QA teams, and developers ensure consistent delivery of value.
- Implements secure software development practices in line with industry standards like OWASP, NIST, and internal security guidelines. Integrating automated security testing into the CI/CD pipeline early in the development cycle.
- Champions the integration of automated security testing tools within the CI/CD workflows. Ensure that software is developed with security considerations baked in from the start, addressing risks early in the development process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, programming, or related fields with 2+ years of experience in programming and systems analysis
- OR associate degree in information technology, programming, or related fields with 5+ years of experience in programming and systems analysis
- OR high school equivalency with 8+ years of experience in programming and systems analysis
- Experience working in an Agile environment, focusing on CI/CD, GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC), Secure SDLC, and cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in .NET, Azure, automation (Power Automate or similar), and DevSecOps to build and modernize enterprise applications with a secure, scalable, and cloud-first approach.
- Expertise in two or more of the following: Application Development, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, Multi-tier development, Object Oriented Design, and CSS.SOAP/REST APIs, API Security, Web Services, Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, LWC, Salesforce.com APIs, MuleSoft CloudHub, ESB, RAML, Mule APIs, Mule Connectors
- Ability to learn other programming languages
- Extensive knowledge of both system and business applications and interfaces
- Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis and programming activities
- Ability to gain and apply knowledge of health insurance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex problem solving
- Demonstrates an enhanced ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to other technological and business associates
