Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health, New Jerseys largest integrated healthcare delivery system, is seeking a Project Controls Manager / Analyst to support strategic data, reporting, financial, and scheduling initiatives across the Real Estate, Facilities, Planning & Design, and Construction, PDC, divisions. This role is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of project controls and analytics that inform capital planning, construction performance, facility operations, and real estate strategy across the system. The position will manage project schedules, cash flow, budgets, and reporting while ensuring standardization of project controls and accurate data management across the portfolio.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, forward-thinking professional with experience in construction, facility management, project controls, PMIS platforms, financial forecasting, and construction scheduling.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Intelligence, or a related field required
  • Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools; Power BI, Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel,
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Workfront
  • Proficiency with PMIS systems; Kahua, eBuilder
  • Strong understanding of capital project lifecycles, earned value management techniques, budgeting, cash flow planning, and forecasting
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and financial principles,
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills; must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities,
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments in a large, matrixed healthcare organization

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in project controls, capital project planning, or construction analytics within the construction industry healthcare or complex infrastructure experience strongly preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support real estate development, capital project planning, construction delivery, and facility performance
  • Monitor KPIs including budgets, schedules, cash flow, earned value, and resource allocation across PDC, Real Estate, and Facilities projects
  • Perform labor productivity analysis and earned value measurement to identify variances and potential problem areas
  • Collaborate with PDC project managers, finance, and leadership to forecast and track capital expenditures and cash flow across real estate and construction portfolios
  • Support multi-year capital and real estate development plans through data-driven modeling, scenario planning, and prioritization tools
  • Analyze and manage construction schedules, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
  • Prepare, update, and maintain financial and scheduling forecasts; provide regular reporting cycles, including executive-level dashboards and ad hoc analytics
  • Partner with Facilities Management to track and report energy usage, utility costs, and sustainability performance across the health system
  • Oversee PMIS development and applications to support Capital Projects and Real Estate programs
  • Maintain the Facilities Energy Reporting Framework; benchmark against industry standards such as ENERGY STAR, LEED, and ASHRAE
  • Interface with other departments to provide cost data
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and alignment with system-wide infrastructure goals
