What to Expect
The ideal candidate has experience in managing facilities operations, as well as a background in design, engineering, commissioning, and operation of HVAC Systems. Responsible for operation and maintenance of critical assets - HVAC system, boilers, chilled water system and dust collectors. Prior experience maintaining cooling towers and compressors considered added advantage. Responsible for ensuring the performance of equipment through the facility by driving the execution and quality of projects to maintain the system working as intended. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance is required.
What You'll Do
- Operational engineering support to become the subject matter expert on stationary equipment.
- Strong knowledge of air-handlers, make-up air units, VFDs, boilers and exhaust fans, compressors, cooling towers, boilers, chillers and centrifugal pumps
- Facility systems capacity planning, including the creation of system capacity trends
- Work with a team of maintenance technicians to maintain, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair facilities equipment including boilers, chillers, air handling units, dehumidifiers, VAV systems, cooling towers and exhaust ventilation
- Ensure all operations are executed with highest level of planning and safety to prevent injuries and downtime
- Oversee the installation or repair of various facilities infrastructure or equipment including ductwork, piping, exhaust, wiring and HVAC
- Perform audits and studies of existing systems to determine upgrades, lead condition assessments of existing mechanical systems; create & modify maintenance and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Develop project justification packages for new and existing mechanical systems, incorporating ROI, total cost of ownership, reliability, performance, energy efficiency, and schedule impact analyses.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to troubleshoot and investigate equipment or system issues, providing engineering support to resolve operational challenges efficiently
- Work closely with the Design team as required to provide facilities planning and support for retrofits or expansions of manufacturing areas; knowledge working on electrical and controls systems
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experinence
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in any combination of design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance in a manufacturing or equivalent environment
- Through knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems including air-handlers, make-up air units, VFDs, boilers, cooling towers, compressors, chillers and exhaust fans
- Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution
- Strong data and system analysis
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Intermediate project management skills
- Proven ability to work in a large, complex environment where you must adapt to meet company needs

Expected Compensation
$92,720 - $159,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
