What to Expect
The Approval Operations Compliance Specialist ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of operational workflows by conducting detailed quality reviews, investigating root causes of compliance issues, and maintaining clear documentation of standards and corrective actions. This role combines strong analytical skills with technical writing expertise to identify improvement opportunities, support audit readiness, and enhance process consistency across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed quality assurance reviews of approval operations to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified compliance gaps or recurring quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to drive corrective actions
- Analyze quality and compliance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training guides, and compliance documentation to ensure clarity and alignment across teams
- Partner with operations, policy, and training teams to implement process improvements and track effectiveness of corrective measures
- Support audit preparation and responses by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company and regulatory requirements
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations through clear reports and presentations to management and key stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- 2-4 years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, or operational process review-preferably within energy, utilities, or technology sectors
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, compliance frameworks, and root cause analysis methodologies
- Proficiency in analyzing operational data and summarizing findings into actionable insights
- Ability to work across teams, take initiative without full direction, and escalate blockers with context and clarity
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience drafting and maintaining SOPs, process maps, or compliance documentation
- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and internal systems; bonus for experience with CRM, ticketing, or workflow tools
