 Responsible for safely transporting students to various work-based learning sites, colleges, airports, and other activities. Responsible for ensuring the physical security of buildings and property. Assist with conducting fleet management, tracking and reporting mileage, and dispatching vehicles based on transportation needs and vehicle size. Pay: Pay: $25.00/hour plus an additional $4.93/hour (up to maximum of 40 hours per week) used to offset the cost of elected benefits Retirement Plan: Eligible to participate in the company 401(k) with Company matching after 1 year Vacation: Minimum of ten days per year. Actual days are based upon your Service Date Sick Time: Accrued sick time at 1 hour per 30 hours worked, capped at 56 hours per year Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities
 
 Essential Duties & Job Functions:
 Transportation: 
 Safely drive students to work-based learning sites, colleges, airports, and other designated activities.Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.Assist students with boarding and disembarking the vehicle as needed.Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff during transportation. Security Monitoring: 
 Conduct regular patrols of buildings and property to ensure physical security.Check doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment for any signs of tampering or malfunction.Immediately report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety hazards to appropriate authorities.Take necessary corrective actions to address security issues and maintain a safe environment.Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security checks, findings, and actions taken.  Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.Having the ability to work under pressure as well as ensuring timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.Completing all mandated training requirements per government and company directives.Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.  Mandatory:
 
 Preferred:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Previous experience in transportation, preferably with a focus on student transportation or similar.Familiarity with local traffic laws and routes.Physical ability to conduct security patrols and lift/move objects as needed.Flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules.Must be able to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL), with passenger and air brake endorsements, within ninety (90) days of hire. Must be able to obtain and maintain mandatory DOT/CDL medical certification.Successfully pass and participate in the mandatory DOT/CDL drug and alcohol testing program.Successfully pass a background check and drug test required on the contract.Current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. 
 Commercial Driver's License (CDL).CPR and first aid certification.Experience in security or law enforcement.Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures. Working Conditions: 
 Work is typically performed in an office setting and at various locations on Center. Employee must regularly walk, climb stairs and visually observe Center environment. Employee must be able to run and respond to physical altercations or other emergencies rapidly for the safety of students, Center staff and property. Employee must be able to safely operate a passenger vehicle and supervise students simultaneously.  Physical Requirements: 
 Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Ability to conduct security patrols on foot and climb stairs if necessary. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
