Position Overview The Sports Dietitian position will oversee the nutritional needs of assigned teams by conducting individual and team nutrition education and counseling to ensure optimal wellness and sport performance. The Sports Dietitian will collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, strength coaches, and other support staff as a part of sport specific performance team to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to student athlete wellbeing. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field and one year related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of sports nutrition principles to support athletic performance, recovery, and overall health in collegiate athletes. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: A minimum of one years experience working with collegiate athletes at the NCAA division one level. Masters degree in sports nutrition or exercise science/physiology Required License/Registration/Certifications A current Registered Dietitian with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Licensure through the State of Texas upon hire. Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) or Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) preferred. Job Duties
