Overview
 
 The instructor's primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as professional and academic role models and commit to student satisfaction. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, and outside the classroom during campus and student activities. This position delivers high-quality instruction to students, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience, develops and implements curriculum, assesses student progress, and ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices.Responsibilities
 
 
     Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner Teaching Sterile Processing/Surgical Technology studentsFoster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and labsMaintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment in the classroom and labMaintain curriculum accuracy by keeping up to date on industry standards and practicesEvaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessmentsProvide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and professional successIdentify and report on any at-risk students; create individualized success plans to mitigate attritionFoster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirementsProvide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholdersMeet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issuesProvide and maintain regular, substantive interaction with students in online course componentsMaintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progressDeliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation and troubleshooting, etc.Other duties as assignedQualifications
 
 
     HS Diploma or GED (required)BLS CardCST or NCCT (required)4+ years of clinical Surgical Tech experience; with at least 2 of the last 5 years in a surgical scrub (required)High-level of knowledge in Sterile Processing (required) 
     Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instructionDesign and deliver engaging educational content, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning stylesBuild rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environmentFlexibility to stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practicesCompetence in evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedbackExcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleaguesCommitment to ongoing learning and participation in professional growth opportunities 
     Frequently (80% or more of workday)
      
       Use hearing and sight (both near and far vision)Communicate with students and provide direct instructionOccasionally (up to 50% of the workday)
      
       Use fine motor skills to operate personal computers, manual and electrical (dental, automotive, mechanical, nursing, etc.) equipment, as well as various diagnostic or procedure equipmentRarely (less than 20% of workday)

     Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at the assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises. No travel required. |
