| The opportunity Join Hitachi Energy's Service Business to support grid customers with maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle care for highvoltage equipment and grid automation systems. In this role, you'll diagnose complex issues in substations and industrial power systems, commission and test protection and control schemes, and implement reliability improvements that keep critical infrastructure running. You'll work across planned outages and fastmoving service calls, collaborate with engineering and vendors, and apply digital tools for asset health and condition monitoring-helping customers increase uptime, reduce risk, and advance innovation on the power grid. How you'll make an impact 
  Perform field commissioning, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of transformers, breakers, relay/protection systems, and associated substation equipmentLead preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including test plans, work execution, and customer signoffAnalyze oscillography, event records, and SCADA/RTU data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actionsConfigure, test, and document protection settings (e.g., line, transformer, bus, and feeder) and IEC61850/GOOSE communicationsExecute retrofit and modernization scopes (relay upgrades, breaker replacements, digital substation integrations) with minimal downtimePrepare highquality service reports, asfound/asleft documentation, and redlines for drawings and settings filesPartner with project managers, applications engineers, and suppliers to plan outages, parts, tooling, and site readinessProvide onsite and remote technical guidance to customer operators and maintenance teamsResponsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background
