Are you our next Tightening Services Field Engineer? The Tightening Services Field Engineer will work directly within our Optimization Services team and will play a critical role in the customer's innovation and transformation journey, ensuring our customers realize the maximum potential value from our complete portfolio of Optimization Services. Reporting directly to the Optimization Services Manager, this role will be instrumental in providing valuable fastening technical resources, promoting Atlas Copco products and services, and strengthening our customer relationships and perceived value. Here's how you'll make an impact: 
           
 Perform on-site bolted joint optimization at customer's manufacturing facilities focusing on:
 
             
 Improving joint quality and integrity, reduction of cycle times, scrap, and rework, while enhancing tool ergonomics and operator efficiency.
 
Conduct bolted joint analysis in Atlas Copco's Auburn Hills fastening lab focusing on:
 
             
 Torque-to-failure testing, ultrasonic bolt load testing, incorrect assembly ID, and automation feasibility studies.
 
Create compelling presentations and reports to clearly communicate the results of on-site and laboratory findings to applicable customers.Teach fastening related technical concepts and coach customers on their proper application.Have the desire and ability to facilitate customer meetings to understand fastening related issues, develop a scope of work to meet their objectives, and assist in creating and communicating our solution proposal.Lead and/or provide technical resources for ongoing customer attended Data Driven Services fastening optimization meetings.Managing laboratory projects start to finish by leading customer meetings, coordinating test part allocation, creating and following test schedules, setting up test and measurement equipment, running samples, analyzing data, creating test reports, and coordinating test part return.Help customers get the most value from Atlas Copco products and services, ensuring they achieve their goals.Build strong, trusting relationships with customers to foster loyalty and advocacy.Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services, contributing to growth.Motivate and inspire MVI and GIN salespeople to sell Optimization solutions.
To succeed, you will need
          
 
           
 Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
 
           
 General understanding of motor vehicle and general industry manufacturing, with focus on assembly processes and optimization
 
           
 Presentation skills with preferred high comfort level in front of a camera while producing video training content
 
           
 Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and lead both customers and peers.Strong hands-on mechanical aptitudeUnderstanding of strength of materials and mechanical systemsInterest in automation related technologies (robotics, vision systems, logic programming)
 
           
 Regular travel as needed for customer visits and sales engagement (estimated 25%)
