As a Security Officer - Government Access Control Patrols in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location by conducting routine patrols and remaining visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control measures, and offering exceptional customer service to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or breaches of policy as required by Allied Universal procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
• Assist in maintaining order within the location, especially during incidents or emergencies.
• Document all incidents and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
