Job Description

Summary

Develop and implement our product strategy, working on initiatives that require deep knowledge of the US Financial Services Industry to drive our growth in the US. As a Product Specialist, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, sales, and compliance, to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of the US financial ecosystem.

What you will do:

  • Leverage your expertise in US payment rails (ACH, RTP, FedNow, wire transfers, card schemes) and bank offerings (checking and savings accounts, time deposits, personal loans, mortgages, business loans, credit cards, etc) to enhance Pismo's platform capabilities.\
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory framework changes and competitive landscape to identify and suggest improvements or new positioning of our products in the US.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements. Assist in product demonstrations, presentations, and RFP responses during pre-sales engagements. Provide technical and business expertise to address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Design and monitor the development of cross-squad offerings, ensuring these product innovations' proper scope and purpose.
  • Research and evaluate third-party solutions that can complement Pismo's platform.

Worksite: Austin, Texas

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in banking functions (investment, treasury, credit, cash management) and knowledge of US payment systems, clearings, and financial industry regulations
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of US customers.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Critical thinking, with the ability to articulate and implement improvements in processes and products.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 152.200 to 198.000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
