Under the general supervision of the Director of Advising and Enrollment Management, the Student Success & Peer Advisor Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating college-wide initiatives that advance student success, retention, and engagement within the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS). The incumbent coordinates the CHASS Peer Advising Program, overseeing recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of student peer advisors who provide academic guidance and outreach to undergraduates.

This position applies advanced academic advising concepts to support the holistic development of students, with emphasis on persistence, belonging, and academic recovery. The Coordinator collaborates with professional advisors, faculty, and campus partners to design proactive strategies and interventions for students experiencing academic difficulty, leveraging institutional data and best practices in student success and retention.

Key responsibilities include managing peer advising operations, supporting first-year and transfer student transition programs, academic difficulty follow-up and support campaigns/workshops, supporting orientation sessions, and student success campaigns. The incumbent interprets academic policies, ensures alignment with university regulations, and provides policy guidance to staff and student employees.

This position plays an essential role in advancing CHASS's commitment to inclusive excellence and service by fostering equitable access to advising resources and cultivating a supportive environment for diverse student populations.

The full salary range for the Student Success & Peer Advisor Coordinator is $68,500 - $121,900 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
