Position Title: Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

Wage: $16.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our client's Electric Heat division in Monroe City, MO - a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, this division offers a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands such as QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.

This role plays a key part in maintaining the quality, safety, and reliability of products that deliver comfort and energy efficiency where people live and work. As a Quality Inspector, you'll perform inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure that all products and components meet company, customer, and industry standards.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

- Maintain daily quality inspection workflow, RMAs and other quality-related documentation to meet established performance metrics

- Conduct inspections and electrical testing to verify that products or components meet internal requirements, agency standards or special specifications (including military and industry standards)

- Evaluate returned goods from customers and collaborate with manufacturing teams to determine appropriate disposition

- Document data collected during inspections and maintain records according to company policies and procedures

- Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards (including UL, CSA, and military specifications)

- Communicate significant issues, non-conformances, or trends identified during quality activities and recommend process improvements

- Assist with troubleshooting product or testing issues when failures occur, both internally and in coordination with customers

- Review purchased components requiring incoming inspection and determine acceptability based on specifications and certification requirements

- Document vendor non-conformances and provide feedback regarding product acceptance and supplier performance

- Support field service requests as needed

Requirements for Quality Inspector:

- High School Diploma or GED (technical training or certifications in quality or electrical inspection a plus)

- Experience handling RMAs or working with returned goods evaluations

- Understanding of root cause analysis and continuous improvement principles

- Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing or electrical testing

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection standards

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and recordkeeping accuracy

- Familiarity with measurement and testing tools, such as multimeters, calipers and micrometers

- Working knowledge of UL, CSA and military standards preferred

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments

- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
