The Senior Manager, Sales Learning & Development (L&D) will play an integral role within the Oncology Franchise primarily supporting Hematology and Neuro Oncology Business Units. This individual will be responsible for partnering cross-functionally to develop and execute L&D strategy and tactics in support of our oncology franchise.They will serve as a strategic leader and experienced L&D professional, reporting directly to the Director, Oncology Learning & Development.

This role is also accountable for fostering a high-performance culture by designing and delivering impactful learning experiences that elevate individual and team capabilities, drive accountability, and support excellence in execution across the field force.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes Hematology and Neuro Oncology learning strategy for commercial field sales in collaboration with Jazz sales and marketing leadership.

  • Determines and recommends the most effective approaches to meet the product and clinical acumen learning needs of the business including launch, onboarding, reinforcement, and sustainability training.

  • Designs and implements annual Sales & Clinical Learning & Development strategy, goals, and objectives to deepen the sales and clinical acumen of our field teams-aligned to Brand Strategy and identified Business Unit needs working closely with Sales Leadership.

  • Applies advanced instructional design and adult learning principles to enhance content delivery.

  • Leverages and shares best practices, new principles, and concepts across all brands/products.

  • Serves as a strategic business partner (i.e., proactive solutions) to cross-functional partners.

  • Performs detailed needs assessments (gap analysis) in coordination with Sales Leadership, US Learning & Development partners, Marketing, and other Business Operations teams to successfully elevate the skill level of the intended audiences.

  • Translates business needs into learning products/programs and continuously enhances the clinical and business acumen of the learner.

  • Facilitates onboarding, core, and advanced training classes-highly skilled at both in-person and virtual facilitation.

  • Collaborates with the Instructional Designer to implement metrics that measure training impact and effectiveness, and adapts programs based on insights.

  • Proactively identifies and distributes relevant educational resources while adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.

  • Frequently collaborates with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, Medical, Compliance) to ensure consistency and effectiveness of learning programs.

  • Demonstrates leadership and serves as a consultant to Business Unit Leadership in long-range planning, brand planning, and product launches.

  • Manages vendor projects and relationships, as well as product budgets and forecasting on time and within budget.

  • Models ethics and compliance through all activities and interactions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 7+ years of specialty pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, preferably in sales, learning & development, or marketing.

  • L&D or teaching experience required, including mastery of implementing adult learning principles into all learning assets and experience with distance learning and LMS platforms.

  • Active membership in LTEN and/or ATD preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and be a problem-solver.

  • Oncology experience is required; sales training launch experience is preferred.

  • Prior clinical experience in oncology (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy, NP, PA-C) is highly preferred.

  • Thrives in collaborative, change-driven environments.

  • Proven ability to deliver clinical acumen programs using adult learning principles.

  • Strong competencies in needs assessment, facilitation, prioritization, decision-making, collaboration, virtual delivery, planning, implementation, and digital literacy.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the US.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • MBA, Master's and/ or Education degrees preferred.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
