The salary range for this position is $87,650.00 to $101,250.00. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the Division's events, public relations, and marketing activities. This includes developing and implementing marketing plans while expanding key focus areas as determined by management. The role involves frequent interactions with customers, vendors, the general public, and bank staff, requiring professional and courteous communication to enhance both the efficiency and image of the bank.

The Marketing Manager's primary goal is to shape the company's marketing strategy in line with both short-term and long-term objectives. This involves analyzing economic indicators, tracking demand for the company's services, identifying customer needs (current and future), and monitoring competitors. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will participate in the bank's strategic planning and management processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

Strategic Planning & Oversight

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve the bank's objectives.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the Marketing Plan and strategies based on the Bank's Strategic Plan.
  • Direct and maintain a marketing plan that is consistent with the bank's image and strategic direction.
  • Achieve financial objectives by developing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing use of assets.

Advertising, Branding & Campaigns

  • Plan and oversee advertising and brand activities including print, online, digital, social media, and direct mail.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate all advertising and promotional materials including billboards, radio, website, print advertising, promotional items, and publications.
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print, social, events) to promote banking services.
  • Manage campaign timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Use graphic design skills to create sales and marketing collateral that communicates a consistent brand message.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a consistent image throughout all products, services, and events.
  • Plan, direct, and execute the branding of new and existing products and services.

Digital Marketing & Web Management

  • Responsible for creating, measuring, and coordinating the Bank's website, social media content, SEO, and digital marketing.
  • Keep the division's website updated with current financial products, promotions, rates, service updates, and educational content.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain content creation with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure the site remains user-friendly, mobile-optimized, and SEO-compliant.
  • Monitor analytics tools to assess site traffic, user behavior, and campaign effectiveness, making data-informed recommendations.
  • Effectively manage online content and long-term strategies

Ongoing Responsibilities and Adherence to Compliance:

  • Adhere to Bank of the San Juans Company Core Values.
  • Adhere to all applicable banking regulations, applicable laws, company policies, management directives, security, and operational procedures.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of all required Compliance and Security training assigned by GBCI and BSJ within the designated timeframes. It is the individual's responsibility to fully understand the content presented in each training module. If clarification is needed, the learner must proactively reach out to their supervisor to request further explanation or additional training as necessary.
  • Responsible for adherence to Bank Security Policy and for reporting security risks to management.
  • Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Support the bank's mission by participating in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities, while consistently representing the bank in a professional manner. This includes maintaining a professional image, upholding confidentiality, demonstrating a positive "can-do" attitude, while being flexible, and adaptable to meet both the bank and customer needs.
  • Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service by interacting calmly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience
    • Demonstrated experience with social media branding and identity. Experience working with advertising agencies

  • The ability to motivate or influence senior level personnel, internally or externally, is a key component of the job, requiring a significant level of expertise, credibility, influence and trust. Proficiency in developing and delivering material presentations on complex topics can be important to fulfilling the responsibilities of the position. The inability to communicate at this level would disqualify the individual from being able to fulfill their job responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
