Your Role on the Team

Under the general supervision of the Director of Business Development, the Alumni Membership Associate is responsible for managing the alumni membership program including membership activities, constituent relations, record and database management in Salesforce (Zotforce) including research and analysis, marketing/sales, creation of campaigns and revenue generation. The Alumni Membership Associate assists in the development of membership campaign strategy. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating/monitoring the member activities of the programs, ensuring that members are cultivated in a timely and appropriate manner. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service at all times and must have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact effectively with staff and alumni. They are responsible for the organization of complex, confidential and sensitive issues of a broad scope related to alumni relations, major fundraising, and public relations which supports the professional objectives and activities of University Advancement and Alumni Relations.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $$60,300 - $$66,690 (Annual).

Required:

  • Knowledge of basic concepts and principles of building and maintaining effective relations with a variety of alumni and other key constituencies.
  • Organizational skills including skill to meet prescribed deadlines, prioritize workload, work with frequent interruptions under constantly changing priorities; event planning skills.
  • Written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including tact and political acumen to effectively represent the institution. Effective interpersonal skills to communicate collaboratively, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills. Resourceful in finding appropriate solutions to problems and initiative in presenting alternatives and implementing solutions to ensure effective change. Ability to anticipate problems and take necessary action to eliminate or mitigate potential negative effects.
  • Applicable computer skills. Skill to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for the development office. Proven ability to use MS Office programs and familiarity with the Internet to conduct searches.
  • Ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively with Advancement and faculty and staff to achieve defined goals. Use initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and work with large database to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.
  • Ability to exercise the utmost level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced position. Ability to be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative as well as good judgment in determining when additional guidance is needed. Strong attention to detail required.
  • Ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines in a position that requires attention to multiple projects, and to work quickly and effectively on deadline projects in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to track and maintain membership records in an electronic format.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of the institution, its mission, vision, goals, achievements, policies, and infrastructure.
  • Skill to research, analyze and develop reports, proposals and external relations materials.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platform
