JOB TITLE: IT TECHNICIAN

DEPARTMENT:IT

REPORTS TO: IT MANAGER

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD, MD

STATUS: FULL TIME

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in IT while supporting day-to-day operations and assisting the IT Manager. The successful candidate will provide technical support for workstation setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting across the organization

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide first-level technical support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or appropriate support channels.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation of assets.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing and recovering IT equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, antivirus checks, and system backups.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager on infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
  • Provide support for conference room technology and remote access tools.
  • Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 0-2 years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity best practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
