Job Description
Union: Yes Bargaining Unit/Local: Office and Professional Employees International Union- Local No. 2 Rate Classification: Grade 4A - $24.82 per hour, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Number of Positions Available: 1 Washington Gas is Seeking an Office Services Assistant II. As an Office Services Assistant II, you will play a key role in supporting mailroom operations and office logistics across Washington Gas locations. You Will: * Route, re-route, and schedule inside and outside messenger service. * Sort, deliver, and pick up mail on designated floors, both internal and the U.S. mail. * Receive and deliver specialized packages from UPS, FedEx, etc. * Prepare and affix postage on all outgoing mail by using postage machine and scale. * Scan and receive specialized packages from UPS, FedEx, Miller's Office Supply and other deliveries. * Prepare monthly reports for postage machine, incoming and outgoing mail. * Maintain correct rates and regulations by downloading new postal rates as needed and arrange for service on the postage machine. * Reset postage meter on the last working day of each month. * Assist reprographics with special projects, label, stuffing, etc. Assist reprographics with convenience copiers. * Use Microsoft Office software for emails and prepare postage report. * use Pallet jack to move pallets as needed. * Maintain mailbox labeling at all Washington Gas locations. Assist colleagues at Wharf with mailroom duties, as needed. You Have: * High School diploma/GED and basic computer skills * Valid Driver's License * Use of personal vehicle as required * CDL holders are subject to testing under federal highway regulations Please note that current union members will receive priority on these vacancies, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
