Summary:

The SCIF Maintenance Technician is responsible for the testing, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) areas to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable accreditation standards.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand and comply with all necessary safety procedures and regulations.
  • Understand and comply with all NFPA, NEC, and DoS/OBO Standards and Specifications for fire protection.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication to clients.
  • Communicate and coordinate both internally and with external stakeholders to ensure.
  • Maintain the countermeasures and other security capabilities in shielded enclosures.
  • Perform attenuation testing and evaluation, including using radio frequency signal transmitter/receiver on shielded enclosures to identify vulnerabilities.
    Complete attenuation evaluation and repairs to areas of low performance on the
  • Perform final attenuation testing
  • Maintain and repair the equipment structural attenuation integrity.
  • Perform visual and attenuation evaluations, and complete repairs, to areas of low attenuation performance of the enclosure structural framing and panels
  • Maintain and repair enclosure doors, including electronic
    controls systems, motorized actuators, mechanical latch/unlatch and emergency to achieve proper function.
  • Maintain and repair enclosure support system penetration treatments and device's attenuation integrity.
  • Work is 100% overseas at multiple locations and involves large amounts of travel.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual and technical labor safely, such as climbing ladders, working on rooftops and be able to lift and carry materials/tools in excess of 25lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Polite, service-oriented attitude with focus on client satisfaction.
  • Must be able to deploy overseas and work in various environments (hot, humid, or cold regions).
  • Be knowledgeable and able to comply with all company, site-specific, and safety regulations (NEMA, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general construction methodologies, techniques, management
  • Mastery of technical electronics methods, techniques, procedures, and methodologies sufficient to enable the incumbent to conduct or oversee the conduct of a broad range of projects to identify electronic issues that compromise of the integrity of systems associated with shielded enclosures and environments. Knowledge of facility support systems (Electrical, HVAC and Voice/Data) and the maintenance techniques required to maintain such systems.
  • Operating radio frequency generation and spectrum analyzer equipment.
  • Operating sound generation and level measuring equipment.
  • Problem-solving skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where proposals may involve substantial resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Must have the physical ability to travel overseas.
  • Must be able to pass a medical fit for duty exam.
  • Level 1 requires:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • At least 3-5 years of related experience as a SCIF Maintenance Technician.
    • Ability to perform testing, maintain systems and resolve issues with most tasks/equipment listed in the above job functions.
    • Ability to recommend and source and maintenance equipment and materials needed
  • Level 2 requires:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • At least 5 years of related experience as a SCIF Maintenance Technician.
    • In addition to the ability to perform all the tasks/duties of a Level 1 Technician, Level 2 Technicians must be able to act as a Team Lead and provide training / guidance to Level 1 Technicians.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52 to $58 per hour.
