About the Role

MWH Constructors' Construction Management Services (CMS) group is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Quality Inspector to conduct and document inspections related to the construction of water/wastewater-related infrastructure projects in the Santa Clarita, CA area.

Essential Functions



  • Represent the project owner in the field, provide single-point field inspection of the Contractor's work.
  • Daily, monitor and record contractors' methods, procedures, and processes for compliance with the contract and prepare a comprehensive Daily Inspection Report with measurement of daily installed quantities and resources utilized.
  • Inspect the work for completeness and conformance with the plans, specifications, and applicable regulations and ordinances.
  • Assist the construction manager in developing as-built drawings.
  • Document compliance and non-compliance of completed work with established quality control and quality assurance processes and procedures.


Basic Qualifications



  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of inspection experience in the construction of water infrastructure projects.
  • ACIA/CPII Certifications.
  • A thorough understanding of construction safety, quality control, and general contract management requirements is necessary.
  • Confined Space Certification
  • An equivalent combination of related experience and technical training may be substituted.
  • Valid California Driver's License.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.


Compensation



  • The base hourly rate is $65.96, and fringe benefits are $35.35, as per the General Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD) issued by the Director of Industrial Relations. https://www.dir.ca.gov/oprl/2025-2/PWD/Determinations/Southern/SC-023-63-2(D).pdf
