Gemini is looking for an experienced and strategic manufacturing operations Plant Manager with a proven track record of driving profitability, developing strong leadership, shaping effective business strategies, and excelling problem-solving discipline to join the team at our location in Mesquite, TX! This position is responsible for performing multiple tasks while balancing priorities with a sense of urgency, has a proven record in managing plant operations, and is both customer and employee centric, with a nuanced distribution of responsibilities. Wage Range: $102,000 - $127,000 (USD) per Year

Location: Mesquite, TX
Type: Full-Time - On-site
Schedule: 8 hour days, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Travel: 25%

Essential Functions

P&L Responsibility (15%):

  • Effectively manage KPI's, TTI's, and P&L performance.
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize financial outcomes in areas such as material and labor.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance profitability without compromising on quality and safety standards.

Leadership (30%):

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals to achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to plant personnel for their professional development.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Effectively communicate organizational goals and objectives to all levels of the workforce.
  • Exemplary customer commitment and ability to instill a customer-forward perspective on the shop floor.

Business Strategy (30%):

  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with overall business strategy.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency to influence and adapt to business need.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the plant's scope.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

Problem Solving (25%):

  • Proactively identify and address operational challenges to ensure smooth production.
  • Implement effective problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex manufacturing problems.
  • Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and quality.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience; and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Must be willing to consistently assist employees on the shop floor to build teamwork, participate in continuous improvement events and meet production schedules.
