Position Summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a forward-thinking AI Agentic Manager to drive the adoption, governance, and integration of AI technologies across the organization. This role will lead Fabick Cat's evolution toward an AI-enabled enterprise by managing AI agents, automation systems, and data-driven decision tools that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

The AI Agentic Manager serves as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and executive leadership--ensuring AI solutions are ethical, effective, and aligned with Fabick Cat's strategic objectives, Caterpillar's digital vision, and our commitment to safety and excellence. This leader will combine strategic foresight with technical fluency, guiding both governance and innovation in the deployment of agentic AI systems.


Key Responsibilities:


AI Strategy & Governance


  • Develop and implement Fabick Cat's enterprise AI strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Caterpillar Digital initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee AI governance frameworks including model compliance, data security, ethical standards, and vendor management.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for AI adoption, ROI, and business impact.
  • Ensure responsible AI usage through transparent policies and continuous auditing.


Agentic AI & Automation Leadership


  • Design, deploy, and manage AI agents and automation systems that enhance decision-making, service delivery, and internal operations.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent process optimization across departments (Sales, Service, Parts, Safety, HR).
  • Lead cross-functional AI projects, coordinating between developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and effective solutions.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to integrate AI tools with enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).


Business Enablement & Liaison


  • Serve as the bridge between business and technology, translating operational needs into AI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Guide business units in adopting generative and agentic AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI GPT models, and other LLM-based platforms.
  • Provide change management leadership, ensuring user adoption, training, and ongoing support.
  • Regularly present AI progress and outcomes to executive leadership, articulating business value and strategic direction.


Collaboration & Leadership


  • Mentor internal teams on AI technologies, governance best practices, and agent development.
  • Collaborate with Caterpillar's digital partners to ensure Fabick Cat remains aligned with industry innovation and compliance standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and ethical AI use throughout the organization.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT product or program management, with at least 2 years in AI/ML, intelligent automation, or AI governance.
  • Strong understanding of AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous system design.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage AI governance and compliance structures.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI and automation platforms (Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, etc.).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or C#) and cloud AI services (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in industrial equipment, construction, or heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar technologies and the Cat Digital ecosystem.
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., DBS, SAP) and third-party integrations.
  • Background in process automation, enterprise AI scaling, or MLOps practices.
