At Johnson Outdoors Diving, home to SCUBAPRO-a global leader in innovative diving products-we create amazing outdoor experiences. For over 60 years, our gear has inspired people to explore the underwater world. Now, we're looking for a Human Resources Assistant to help us deliver the same excellence to our employees and leaders. This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide information and administrative support to the HR department and employees regarding HR activities, benefits, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Coordinate events, including organizing employee committees, company events, vendors, catering, reservations, and calendaring.
  • Assist with new employee documentation, orientation, onboarding, and training.
  • Coordinate employee change documentation and approvals (new hires, salary adjustments, terminations, personal data changes).
  • Assist with recruitment by managing requisition, posting advertisements, screening applicants, and coordinating background checks.
  • Coordinate employee safety training, including scheduling and tracking attendance.
  • Maintain employment records and documents both physically and within an HRIS.
  • Oversee onboarding and HR administration for temporary associates.



What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience, preferably within an HR department.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with complete confidentiality and tact.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft office or similar products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated data entry skills, preferably utilizing an HRIS and/or payroll system, and ability to create and run employee related reports preferred.

Salary Range: $20.48 - $26.88/hour
