- We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly experienced AI Engagement Specialist to support stakeholder alignment, strategic planning, and business integration efforts for AI initiatives at a leading independent federal agency focused on financial system stability.
- This role will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring that AI solutions-including Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and traditional AI-are aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory mandates, and user needs.
- The Senior Specialist will support and assist the Strategy and Business Engagement lead and client shape the agency's AI strategy, driving adoption, and maximizing the value of AI investments across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Assist in the development and refinement of the agency's AI strategy in collaboration with executive leadership and technical teams.
- Translate business goals and regulatory requirements into actionable AI initiatives and roadmaps.
- Collaborate to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across departments and mission areas.
- Serve as scrum master and facilitate SAFe Agile processes for the team developing AI strategy, implementation plans and business integration initiatives.
- Assist in planning the AI Program PI Planning events and assist Strategy and Business Engagement lead remove impediments, manage sprints, and track and report on key metrics and progress toward strategic AI initiates.
- Track research and analyze AI developments in the external marketplace, open-source technology, space, and within commercial off the shelf products, maintaining reports for the AI program office on emerging AI tech technologies solutions.
- Track, synthesize, analyze and benchmark, external organizations governance and use of AI, maintaining reports on how the private sector, academic institutions, central banks, and federal agencies are managing, evaluating, and adopting AI to share key insights and make recommendations to the AI program office.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Support and facilitate cross functional collaboration between business units, policy teams, and AI solution teams.
- Support in the planning, development and facilitation of workshops, briefings, and working groups to gather input, build consensus, and drive engagement.
- Develop strategic communications that articulate the value, impact, and progress of AI initiatives.
- Support the development of executive reports, executive presentations and key messages to business leaders.
- Business Integration & Value Realization
- Conduct analysis of business use cases, AI capability requests, and end user satisfaction surveys to identify capability gaps and recommend high value use cases to support operational workflows, policy analysis, and public engagement.
- Collaborate with change management and training teams to support workforce readiness and adoption.
- Monitor and report on business outcomes, OKRs, and ROI of AI implementations.
- Governance & Risk Management
- Support the development of governance frameworks for responsible AI use, including ethical guidelines, risk assessments, and compliance tracking.
- Ensure business stakeholders are informed and involved in decisions related to AI governance and oversight.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with AI architects, AI/ML engineers, cloud specialists, and QA testers to ensure solutions meet business needs and strategic goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with federal governance frameworks and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Communications or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in strategy, business engagement, or program leadership roles.
- Proven experience supporting technology transformation initiatives, preferably involving AI/ML.
- Strong understanding of GenAI, Agentic AI, and traditional AI concepts and their business applications.
- Experience with change management, training, and workforce development strategies.
- Experience with strategic planning tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
