The Electrophysiology Senior Physician Assistant will provide support to our physicians in the clinic and hospital setting. The NP will work together with our fellows, Physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals and be responsible for supporting our EP clinics; caring for hospitalized Electrophysiology (EP) patients; pre and post procedural care including coordination of care between the hospital and clinic. The department offers the full range of EP services including ablation; LAA closure, device implants; laser lead extractions; and tilt table testing. Tasks may include: comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a diagnostic impression, developing and implementing a treatment plan, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments and non-pharmacological therapies, and offering counseling and education to meet patient needs. The Senior Physician Assistant is expected to practice consistent with Professional Standards of Practice. Collaborate judgment with physician is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Under general supervision, the Senior PA performs operational level duties as described in the Series Concept. The major emphasis of this position is direct patient care delivery. Assignments at this level primarily encompass management of patients who present chronic and/or episodic health problems. Assignments at this level may include responsibility for occasional community teaching programs, participation in program planning and development of patient education information. May perform other related duties as assigned. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $160,922 - $211,974 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $77.07 - $101.52 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
