Title: Industrial Security Professional

Location: Alexandria, VA

Clearance: Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI access, based on successful completion of a CI polygraph

Responsibilities:



  • As the headquarters FSO, manage the daily security activities for the site
  • Enforce government and company security policies to include compliance with those outlined in 32 CFR part 117 and DoD Manual (DoDM) 5105.21
  • Process incoming and outgoing security clearance and visit access authorizations, classified meeting requirements, and company and client badging requirements
  • Lead the Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program; ensure all cleared personnel have completed required security training/briefings
  • Serve in support of personnel security actions to support classified personnel processing
  • Monitor personnel security activities in DISS
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with government customers, program staff, and other company personnel
  • Assist in the generation/update of required security plans, procedures, and instructions
  • Function as the designated CSSO, overseeing SCIF operations including access control, classified visits, incident reporting, self-inspection, classified document control, and records management
  • Serve as the COMSEC account custodian
  • Respond to and investigate security infractions and violations


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a security-related field of study, with at least 5 years of FSO experience in the DoD or IC communities
  • Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum (or equivalent) is required; other additional industry certifications a plus
  • Familiarity of SCIF operations and required security oversight
  • Proficient use of government security databases such as DISS, NISS, and SCI nominations through DoD & IC client portals
  • Knowledge of business continuity programs to include planning, training, and exercises
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail to ensure security protocols are followed
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task on a variety of projects


  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions with minimal information desired
  • Working knowledge of these Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Planner
  • Active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI access based on successful completion of a CI polygraph
