About the Job

The Wang Lab in the Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences is seeking a two-year contract pre-doctoral assistant to assist Dr. Wang on his research project and lab management. The successful applicant will need to have a master's degree in biology related field and has at least two years research experience. This role is 75% time.

Job requirements:

  • Develop and execute experiments including RNA-seq, western blots, immunoprecipitation, immunostaining etc.
  • Lab equipment management and new lab member orientation
  • Contribute to manuscripts writing/editing and journal articles for publication
  • General support of and assistance with lab group operations, including lab common reagent/buffer preparation, sterilization, meeting scheduling, data analysis etc.
  • Maintain records of data per protocol requirements
  • Troubleshoot lab and technology issues
Qualifications

Required Qualifications (Please document all required qualifications on application materials):

  • Must be registered in a PhD program at another institution
  • Master's degree in biology-related field
  • At least 2 years of research experience

Pay Range: $33,352.80 USD/year
