Short Description

  • The Director of Research Compliance and Privacy is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and privacy protections across all research activities.
  • This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations-including HIPAA, the Common Rule, and other applicable research protections.
  • The Director leads research billing audits, conducts investigations, and develops training programs to foster a culture of research integrity and accountability.
  • This position collaborates closely with the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and other corporate departments to ensure ethical conduct, data security, privacy, and risk mitigation.
  • The Director also leads or supports institutional committees and initiatives related to research compliance and privacy and may function as a designated official/officer within research compliance and privacy policies.

Experience Required

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.


Education Requirements

3-5 years required. 6-10 years preferred.


License/Certification Requirements

Certification in healthcare research compliance and privacy compliance required within 18 months of hire required.

Clinical licensure preferred.

Hourly Rate Min $48.08
Hourly Rate Max $83


The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.

A salary offer will vary based on the job role, candidate experience, qualifications, internal pay equity and market data.
